SUMMARY:15th Annual VIKING FAIR\, BAZAAR & BRUNCH
DESCRIPTION:Viking Fair will be here in a few short weeks. Vendors are busy planning what items they will be bringing for their tables. Members are watching for unused items that might be donated to our raffle\, heritage\, and white elephant tables. Some popular things that we have seen in the past include scarves\, wall hangings\, sweaters\, quilts\, housewares\, jewelry\, knickknacks\, you name it\, etc. \nJOIN US FOR: Lefse\, Baked Goods\, Arts & Crafts\, Unique Gifts\, Scandinavian Items\, Vendors\, Raffles\, and More!\nFREE Admission \n$12 for Brunch \nFor more information call 719-574-3717 \n\nVolunteers Needed\n\nKitchen help\nBakers\n\nVolunteers are needed in the kitchen to help plan\, cook\, and serve brunch\, lunch items\, and snacks. Bakers are also needed to make cookies\, bread\, rolls\, cakes\, whatever you like. We always run out of these popular hand-made goodies\, so if anyone finds some good recipes to share\, please bring them along to our heritage meetings. We really appreciate all the people who pitch in to bring things\, tend our special tables for the day\, set up and clean up for the event. We will have some sign-up sheets to help us get organized. It does take a village.  \nViking Fair is a day for reaching out to the community\, so please spread the word when you can. As a point of information\, in case you are not familiar with our organization\, we are a non-profit group. At this time of year\, we are looking forward to making donations to some charitable organizations in our community. The proceeds from our Viking Fair will go toward these efforts. We also expect the Viking Fair to be an interesting\, fun-filled day! \nI hope everything is going well with all vendors and all your projects. I expect you have been busy\, and I am looking forward to all the wonderful things you will bring. I hope to attach (or otherwise send separately) the flyer for this year. I hope you may be able to print it and share it with friends\, neighbors\, churches\, clubs\, stores\, and possibly social media contacts. Anyway\, anything you can do to help advertise the day is appreciated. \nInformation for Viking Fair Day is mostly the same as in the past few years. On Friday\, Oct.18\, if you wish\, you are welcome to come on over to Viking Hall from 1:30 to about 4:30 to bring your tablecloths/sheets and begin setting up your space. We will provide an 8-foot table and 2 chairs. Vendors often bring small tables or shelves for extra display space. Vendors can start unloading their wares at 7:45 on Sat. morning. Please unload at the side door\, and then park your vehicle in the rear lot\, if possible on Saturday morning. Please plan to use your space from 9AM to 3PM—bring plenty of product. If you wish to purchase a brunch plate or other items from the kitchen during the day\, you are welcome to do so—we’re not taking reservations. Have a coffee on the house. \nAs part of our raffle\, located in the front foyer\, we would appreciate a donation of a small item from each vendor. We will sell tickets in the front\, and then do drawings and introduce vendors and their items throughout the day. I will accept your checks and registration forms until our tables are filled\, on a “first come” basis. We will deposit checks in October. When we have all spaces filled\, I will keep a waiting list for anyone who is interested\, in case we have a cancellation shortly before the Fair \n.
